Brown Rice
Brown rice is an unrefined, unpolished whole grain where the surrounding hull of the rice kernel is removed and the more nutrient-dense layers are retained. Its also called Palakkadan Matta rice or Kerala brown rice, it is a healthier version of conventional rice and holds an immense treasure of nutritional constituents. You can prepare a series of healthy brown rice recipes and serve it with veggies, meat, or lentils to have a complete meal. Soak Kerala brown rice in water overnight or at least 8 hours before cooking.
